Colombian authorities blamed the warlord known as “Ivan Mordisco” for the kidnapping of 34 soldiers on the fringes of the Amazon rainforest.
The soldiers had been on an operation in southern Colombia in which alias Dumar, one of Mordisco’s henchmen, was killed, Defense Minister Pedro Sanchez said in a statement on Tuesday.
