Lithuania’s Social Democrats clinched a new coalition agreement, securing a wide majority in parliament on the eve of a vote on the Baltic nation’s new prime minister.

To secure a wide majority, the party took a controversial step to invite back into the coalition the Dawn of Nemunas, whose founder and leader is under investigation for allegedly making antisemitic statements. It also brought in the Peasants & Greens Union as a new partner. The coalition will hold 82 seats in the 141-seat parliament.
