EU Hopes to Adopt 19th Russia Sanctions Package Next Month

The European Union said it hopes to adopt a 19th package of sanctions against Russia next month, as the bloc looks to keep up pressure on President Vladimir Putin over his war in Ukraine.

European Commission spokesperson Arianna Podesta gave details on the timing for the next round of measures against Russia at a daily press briefing in Brussels on Thursday, though didn’t give further details about what could be included in the package.
