The investment by longtime Bitcoin backers Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss was part of a private placement by the venture, American Bitcoin Corp., according to Asher Genoot, Chief Executive Officer of Miami-based Hut 8 Corp. American Bitcoin was formed by combing Hut 8’s mining assets with an entity whose investors included the sons of US President Donald Trump.
