Blackstone Inc.’s real estate trust for wealthy individuals tapped an interim chief executive officer after its top official was killed in the shooting at a New York City office tower last week.

Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust Co-President Rob Harper will step up as interim CEO, according to a regulatory filing Thursday. He will keep his existing roles at BREIT while the board looks for a permanent head.
