Poland Reshuffles Cabinet to Create Economy Superministry
Poland will create a superministry in charge of finance and the economy as part of a wider cabinet reshuffle designed to strengthen the ruling coalition as it readies for a tense cohabitation with the incoming opposition-backed president.
The move, which will grant the current Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski new tools to steer the economy, is also designed to streamline the work of the coalition government, which has been criticized for showing little initiative since taking power in late 2023.
