S&P 500 Overcomes Big Tech Drop to Set Fresh Record High

The S&P 500 Index reversed earlier losses to set a fresh record on Tuesday, as investors rotated into defensive areas while technology stocks struggled.

The stock benchmark closed 0.06% higher, after shuffling between gains and losses for most of the session. The tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 Index fell 0.5%.
