Le Pens Face €300,000 Bill Over Father’s Costs After EU Loss
French far-right leader Marine Le Pen and her two sisters lost a fight against a European Parliament order for their late father Jean-Marie to give back more than €300,000 ($349,000) in misused funds during his time as a member of the assembly.
Judges at the EU’s General Court in Luxembourg dismissed a challenge against findings that Jean-Marie — who passed away in January this year — had received the undue payments while working in Brussels.
