Norway’s underlying inflation rate rose for the first time in four months, largely matching expectations and cementing the central bank’s outlook for more easing after the summer.

Underlying consumer-price growth excluding energy accelerated to 3.1% last month, according to data from the statistics office on Thursday. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg had a median forecast of 3.0%, while Norges Bank projected a 3.1% gain.
