Polish MPC’s Duda Sees One More Quarter-Point Rate Cut This Year

Polish interest rates could be cut by a further quarter-point this year as inflation pressure subsides, according to policymaker Iwona Duda.

The Monetary Policy Council unexpected cut its benchmark by 25 basis points last week to 5% and said that price pressures were easing faster than previously expected. The 10-member panel, which includes Duda, has reduced rates by a total of 75 basis points so far in 2025.
