Vietnam Estimates Faster GDP Growth Ahead of Tariff Deadline
Vietnam’s economy likely expanded at a faster clip of 7.67% year-on-year in the second quarter, driven by manufacturing and trade, according to Finance Minister Nguyen Van Thang.
The estimate, which compares to the 6.93% growth posted in the first three months of the year, would bring growth in the first half of the year to about 7.31%, Thang was quoted as saying in a government statement following a cabinet meeting Thursday.
