Swedbank to Buy Stabelo in $37 Million Mortgage-Market Bet

Swedbank AB agreed to buy digital mortgage credit firm Stabelo for an initial price of 350 million kronor ($37 million) to help bolster its home-loan business.

The lender bought the Stockholm-based company from shareholders including Avanza and Creades, according to a statement on Tuesday. The final purchase price “will depend on Stabelo’s development up to and including 2028,” Swedbank said.
