Poles elect their president on Sunday in the biggest test yet of whether Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s pro-European agenda is going to prevail against the surge of the country’s nationalist forces.

Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski, a Tusk ally who has vowed to cement Poland’s role as a reliable partner in the European Union, is running against the opposition candidate Karol Nawrocki, who’s secured endorsement from the US administration of President Donald Trump.
