Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski entered the debate on the back foot with Karol Nawrocki pulling ahead in recent opinion polls ahead of a June 1 runoff. He sought to dismiss the candidate of the opposition Law & Justice party as a lightweight in foreign policy and called on his supporters to mobilize to avoid “chaos and disagreements.”
