Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic denied there was any snag in plans for Jared Kushner’s firm to build a luxury hotel and residences in Belgrade.

The planned hotel in the Serbian capital is one of several real estate ventures embarked upon by Kushner across the region, whose leaders are eager to court his father-in-law, President Donald Trump. The planned Trump Hotel Belgrade, estimated at $500 million, requires the demolition of the country’s former army headquarters. The building was largely destroyed by NATO bombing in 1999 as the alliance aimed to stop Serbia’s offensive in Kosovo.
