Siemens Sees Decline in Orders for Data Center Products
Siemens AG’s sales of electrical products for data centers fell, signaling a possible slowdown in an industry that has fueled the German manufacturer’s growth in recent quarters.
While group revenue increased, orders for products such as switchgear for power distribution and microgrid controllers declined 16% in the first three months of the year, Siemens said Thursday. The drop was mainly due to weaker demand in the US, where one large operator slowed down a data center project.
