Net Zero Flights Will Hinge on Green Fuels, Air New Zealand Says
Air New Zealand Ltd. set new targets to curb emissions after scrapping previous climate goals, and warned that decarbonization efforts remain reliant on the advance of greener fuels.
The carrier will aim to lower its net “well-to-wake” emissions — described as those associated with the production, distribution and combustion of jet fuel — by 20% to 25% by 2030 from a 2019 baseline, according to a statement published on Thursday.
