Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez held a meeting Tuesday evening with executives from the country’s main utilities to discuss the blackout and plans going forward.

“I have held an emergency meeting with the private operators of the electricity sector,” Sanchez said in a post on X after the meeting. “We must make the necessary improvements to guarantee the supply and competitiveness of our system,” he said in the post.
