Dollar Slide Will Likely Lose Steam, Top Forecaster Marinov Says

A top forecaster says the dollar’s slump will likely ease this quarter, even as the global trade war has rocked the greenback’s haven status and led to its worst annual start in at least two decades.

The tariff-fueled rotation out of US assets remains a key downside risk this year, said Credit Agricole’s head FX strategist Valentin Marinov — the most-accurate predictor of major currencies in the first quarter, according to a Bloomberg ranking.
