Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman told the Senate Banking Committee Thursday that she will apply cost-benefit analysis to new banking rules and that regulators should be aligned in their goals for the financial system.

Bowman was pressed by Senator Jack Reed, a Rhode Island Democrat, on whether she would abide by a recent executive order that would require the Fed and other regulators to submit proposed rules to the Trump administration for review.
