In French legal circles, there’s a tightly knit group of eminent white-collar-crime lawyers who act as magnets for high-profile defendants from Nicolas Sarkozy to Swiss banking behemoth UBS Group AG.

None of them represented Marine Le Pen at the Paris criminal court as she unsuccessfully battled the embezzlement allegations that got her barred from running for president in 2027.
