UK Mortgage Demand Eases as Time Runs Out on Tax Break

UK mortgage approvals dipped in February, as the boost from homebuyers rushing to beat a tax deadline continued to wane.

Banks and building societies authorized 65,481 home loans, down from 66,041 the previous month, the Bank of England said Monday. It was slightly below the 65,600 forecast by economists.
