Petro Accuses Colombia Central Bank of Trying to Sabotage Growth

Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro attacked the central bank and accused it of trying to hurt the economy after the board defied his calls for lower interest rates at its March policy meeting.

In a lengthy post on X, the leftist leader accused the bank of seeking to curb economic growth “for purely political reasons”.
