Myanmar’s junta chief Min Aung Hlaing will visit Thailand next week to attend a regional leaders’ summit, a rare trip to a neighboring Southeast Asian country since the military seized power in a 2021 coup.
Myanmar authorities are also making arrangements for Min Aung Hlaing to meet with other leaders bilaterally, including Indian leader Narendra Modi, Zaw Min Tun, lead spokesman for Myanmar’s junta, known as the State Administration Council, told Bloomberg News on Friday.
