Staff of the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors must return to their offices five days a week after working with flexible work arrangements since the pandemic subsided in 2021, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The decision aligns the Fed with one of President Donald Trump’s first executive orders when he directed agency heads on Jan. 20 to “take all necessary steps to terminate remote work arrangements and require employees to return to work in-person at their respective duty stations on a full-time basis.”
