ECB’s Kazaks Says There’s More Still to Do on Inflation

European Central Bank Governing Council member Martins Kazaks said the battle with inflation is not yet over but steered clear of giving preferences for the path of interest rates amid elevated uncertainty.

With trade tensions, geopolitical challenges and the war in Ukraine clouding the backdrop, the Latvian official stuck to the ECB’s standard language by saying that monetary policy will be set on a meeting-to-meeting basis.
