Police rescued 215 foreign nationals in a raid on an online scam center in northwestern Cambodia, Thai authorities said, in the latest crackdown on criminal cyber operations in the region.

The victims comprised 109 Thais, five Taiwanese, three Indonesians, 50 Pakistanis and 48 Indians, Thai government spokesperson Jirayu Houngsub said on Sunday. Officers from Thailand and Cambodia were involved in the raid on the building in Poipet, Jirayu said. The rescued workers will be repatriated to their home countries when their details have been verified, he said.
