Latvia Seeks to Ease Coalition Tension With Reshuffle

Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina moved to replace three ministers and set out a new agenda for her coalition after tensions emerged within the three parties late last year.

Strains appeared in December, when the alliance failed to agree on a candidate for the top job at the Baltic nation’s central bank. The term of Governor Martins Kazaks was allowed to expire, before he was eventually given five more years this month.
