Junk fees have become such a norm for travelers in the US, the Biden administration has made them a big talking point this year. In July the president announced a multipronged approach to getting rid of them for good.
Yet the nickel-and-diming persists. Legislation thus far has succeeded only in improving transparency, as opposed to eliminating the fees altogether.
