Payment stocks are beating FAANG, and they’re likely to continue doing so, Morgan Stanley says.
Analyst James Faucette began covering payment stocks known as MVP, like Mastercard Inc., Visa Inc., and PayPal Holdings Inc. in January 2016, and since then, the companies have collectively beaten FAANG gains by 3,400 basis points through March 28 of this year. He rates all three overweight. Facebook Inc., Apple Inc., Amazon.com Inc., Netflix Inc. and Google parent Alphabet Inc. comprise the so-called FAANG stocks.
